Steven Satterfield pioneered cooking close to the earth at his restaurant Miller Union in Atlanta, GA. His second book, Vegetable Revelations: Inspiration for Produce Forward Cooking, continues this work sharing techniques, know how, and guidance for cooking ever more deliciously with ever more produce in ever many more meals.

Granor Farm's Kitchen has long been inspired by Chef Satterfield's work; we are delighted to welcome him to Granor Farm and prepare a meal inspired by his work utilizing peak June produce, grains, and legumes.

The evening will kick off with a conversation with Chef Satterfield about how he became known as the Prince of Vegetables, how produce seasonality of Georgia is different than Michigan, what he does with all that okra, and what he's most excited about eating these days.

Following the discussion will be a multi-course meal with dishes inspired by Steven's book, Vegetable Revelations. Every ticket includes a copy of Vegetable Revelations. Additional copies will be on hand for purchase the night of the event or can be added on during the booking process. The event will conclude with a book signing.

Joy Crump, nationally acclaimed chef heralding from Fredericksburg, VA, will be joining the Granor Kitchen for a one night only event combining her Virginia-rooted cooking with midwestern ingredients grown by Granor and our farming neighbors. Please join us for a multi-course dinner featuring southern-inspired dishes like church greens, slow-cooked meats, Rosie's fried chicken, and hand-mixed pimento cheese all paired with Granor's just-harvested produce driving the menu.

In advance of the dinner, Chef Crump will join Granor Farm's Abra Berens in a free wheeling conversation about what farm to table even means any more, why minimizing food waste is deliciously important, and how they each see their region's food culture represented at home and in the national conversation.

A CSA subscription is the best option for those wanting to enjoy a season-long bounty from our farm. This is an 12-week market style CSA that includes your choice of six Granor-grown vegetables, herbs, flowers, and fruit each week. You will be able to choose your weekly items based on the seasonal availability in our Farm Store. We grow over 100 different varieties of vegetables from spring lettuces, summer’s vine-ripened tomatoes, and fall root crops. Also included are cheery spring and summer flowers, fresh culinary herbs, and mixed berries. Everything in the Vegetable CSA is Certified Organic and grown by us from seed to harvest.

The Summer Vegetable CSA runs from June 21 to September 7.
